Wonderful...concept.. Unfortunately, this wouldn't work at this present situation when corporate giants are leading the world.... Just like credit unions....These days people have been depositing their money in local credit unions rather than banks like citi,chase or boa....Credit Unions are always safe and easy to access...no additional charges.... | ||

there shouldn't be any room for walmart....economy should be localised not globalised with corporate chains.....it will improve local production and consumption, also the negative impact in a particular area won't effect the globe....the economies before the concept of sharemarkets and company were like that...people were much more productive and creative compared to the present situation..... | ||

If the motive is to start a non-profit company, you need to know how a non-profit business work here in US...They just depend on donations or funds from third party individuals or organizations all the time...... | ||

it's upto the indviduals to decide wether to do business or not...they could provide services in a limited area and could make reasonable money....remeber operating costs will also go down with reduction in size....may be they can't make huge profits but they can perform decently....also new portable technologies might come up that could fit the framework....in some areas govt may have to play the role of providing basic infra just like big irrigation projects by spending tax money........ | ||

if interested .. read more about how community business work ( we have a co-operative banking system in US and India .. over where .. profit is not the motive .. ) thats the key .. similarly .. read thru .. the philosophy of Swadeshi Economics when it comes to India .. you will understand what Vjavasi is talking about .. if anything, that is the best policy of live and let live in this world ! no consumerism, capitalism or communism have that concept unfortunately ! Alright! How does one get benefit from this new system? Assume, there are 500 cellphone provider companies alone in usa who provide service to its customers... How would a cellphone provider benefit from this new system if he's providing service only to limited customers... Atleast 100 companies would go bankrupt by the end of the year..because of the increasing overhead cost...Leave the profits aside...they ain't gonna get the investment they made initially..... IMO, more enterprueners is always a bad public policy..you have to consider all firms are 10 years old or less to be new wouldn't sustain the same way like 10 year old company...The ultimate goal should be good quality and high growth companies but it isn't the number factor which is important.....Hope you got my point.. | ||

individual enterprise means a person can start a business by himself or in partnership with few others...he won't get tax benefits or concessions from the state and he liable for all his business dealings....the goal should be production by masses not just mass production.... | ||
