All the mental phenomena,sensual activity could possibly eventually be mapped to neural activity. However,still I am not sure if the 'Hard problem of consciousness' can be addressed. Dr.Ramachandra gives good neurological accounts of various mental phenomena. The videos can be found in youtube. as for who witnesses or interprets the mental representations ...i think its a question of how self/reference point arises. it' a big unsettled question. GEB is a good attempt to explain how self could possibly arise from inanimate -- ( or rather from symbolic systems .. sorry for my misinterpretation). how about Eidetic memory!? if it is prove to be true... I would think it might only be possible when the mental phenomena have clear physical representation or meta representation. | ||
